If Amit Shah Impressed With RRR, Why Charan Was Not Invited?

Update: 2022-08-22 07:21 GMT
Bharatiya Janata Party's key leader Amit Shah met Tollywood Young Tiger NTR at the Novatel Hotel in Hyderabad the other day. Besides putting the focus on the upcoming Munugode by-election, Minister of Home Affairs Amit Shah is also looking at various issues and he met a few celebrities during his Telangana visit. NTR is among the famous personalities Amit Shah met.

The meeting between Amit Shah and NTR grabbed everyone's attention. However, the BJP's version is that Amit Shah happened to watch the magnum opus RRR and he was blown away by NTR's acting in the film. Having been impressed with NTR, Amit Shah invited him over lunch.

But the version made many develop a few questions. If Amit Shah was really impressed with RRR, Mega Power star Ram Charan would also have received an invitation. Just like NTR, Ram Charan also played a freedom fighter in RRR.

Ram Charan essayed the role of Alluri Sitarama Raju. Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated in the birth anniversary celebrations of Alluri Sitarama Raju and even unveiled the statue of the freedom fighter. Modi spoke highly about the revolutionary personality and said that he will have the first place among the freedom fighters from the state.

Going by this, Ram Charan should have also received the call if really Amit Shah was impressed by RRR. Ram Charan who played Alluri Sitarama Raju should have also received an invitation along with NTR as per the version. But only NTR received the invitation.

But a few political experts counter BJP claims saying that there could be more than NTR's acting that made Union Home Minister Amit Shah invite the Nandamuri scion over lunch the other day at the Novatel hotel. Experts see the meeting between Amit Shah and NTR through a political lens sensing that political issues might have come to discussion.

NTR played celebrated freedom fighter from Telangana Komaram Bheem in RRR. The Pan-India film saw NTR essaying the role of the Tribal leader who fought for freedom. Ram Charan is the other leader who played Alluri Sitarama Raju, a freedom fighter from the Andhra region in RRR.
