If I Was Chairman, I won't Pick Shikhar Dhawan, Says Former Cricketer

Former India opener Krishnamachari Srikkanth said he will not choose Shikhar Dhawan for this years ICC T20 World Cup. He said runs against Srilanka don't count and there is no competition between Shikhar Dhawan and KL Rahul

Shikhar Dhawan is returning to play International match after two months. He has missed the limited-overs series against West Indies due to an injury and during his absence, KL Rahul performed well in white-ball formats for India. Former Indian opener Krishnamachari Srikkanth supported KL Rahul and said there is no competition between KL Rahul and Shikhar Dhawan.

Krishnamachari Srikkanth also said that runs against Srilanka won't count and if I was a chairman I won't pick Shikhar Dhawan T20 World Cup squad. In the last one year, Shikhar Dhawan scored 272 runs in 12 innings with a strike rate of 110.56 in T20I, while KL Rahul scored 356 runs in 9 innings with a strike rate of 142.40.

Dhawan said he is looking for a new start in the new year and wants to win the World Cup, which is just eight months away
