Ilayaraja's scuffle with airport security over 'prasad'

Veteran music composer Ilayaraja had come across with an awkward moment in Bangalore airport. The legendary musician was stopped by airport security officer and he ended up with having a minor scuffle with security officials.

Going into details Ilayaraja along with his family went to visit some temples in Mangalore. Upon their return Journey they were on  Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru to catch their flight. But the musician was allegedly denied entry to the airport as his bag contained some undisclosed items

The security officer at the airport asked Ilayaraja to step aside for further check. After scanning with a machine the security guard found out that the bag contained some religious prasadam including broken pieces of coconut. Ilaya Raja was bringing those items back after his darshan from a famous temple. Ilayaraja's son  Karthik Raj was hugely upset with the treatment meted out  to his father and he took photos of the security officer

The security official got angrier and started talking rudely and things turned worse. After arguing more than one hour Ilayaraja and his family members finally allowed to enter inside. The flight's last call was given at 10.30pm and the composer and his family was at the security check till 10.45pm.
