The situation in India is turning out to be worse from bad as the country emerged as the third worst-hit nation in the world. The total cases in the country zoomed to 10,77,618.
In the wake of this, the Indian Medical Association (IMA) made some serious claims about the spread of the virus raising many fears and concerns. IMA termed the prevailing situation as bad.
Dr. VK Monga, the Chairman of IMA Hospital Board of India, said, the current situation is pretty bad as the fresh infections in India are piling up more than 35k per day.
Monga went on to say that the rapid phase at the fresh cases were reported shows a sign of community transmission in India. The situation became even worse as the ongoing pandemic has now reached villages.
The first infection was detected in India on March of 2nd and within 137 days the cases mounted to one million. After reaching the 3 lakh-mark the cases increased at a rapid phase.
