IMD Issues Advisory Over The Possible Severe Cold wave

India has been witnessing one of the coldest winter seasons. Even the southern states of India have also registered high temperatures in the season compared to the previous seasons.

Amid this, weather forecasting and seismology agency India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a warning to the public living in northern states over the change in the breeze.

The agency advised the public to not step out of their houses and urged the public to not take alcohol as alcohol intake will have an impact on the body temperature and it gets reduced,

Going by the advisory of IMD, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and northern Rajasthan likely to register severe cold wave from the 28th of December and also warned on a possible rise in illnesses.

Head of the regional forecasting centre of the IMD Kuldeep Srivastava urged the public staying in these states to be indoors and take vitamin-C-rich fruits so that they will not get affected by the severe cold wave.
