Impact of BREXIT on USA

Update: 2016-06-29 07:21 GMT
Brexit referendum will go a long way. While the actual impact is yet being discussed and debated, US for sure has received its share of shockwaves.  No, it's not because Obama campaigned for 'remain' or Trump expressed happiness over 'leave'. Texas Nationalist Movement & 'calexit' movements have resurfaced.  Texas nationalist movement dubbed as TNM is headed by Daniel Miller.

The modern history of the movement goes back to 1990. Since its inception in 1990, TNM has been conducting regular activities to keep up the vigor of Texas nationalist sentiment. Republican presidential front runner was caught off-guard recently on this issue. It's very ironical that a leader who feels #brexit is in favor of Britain but #texit is not in favor of Texas. The first lesson of political correctness to Mr Trump, probably.

#Calexit has roots going back to the Cascadian independence movement. However, #calexit has never gained momentum. One of the main reasons could be absence of one prominent face of the movement, that way it's far from being any a mainstream nationalist movement. It will be interesting to see what impact these movements will have on the November presidential election.

We belong to a part of world who understands the secession movements a little more closely. While there is no direct comparison the lifecycle of the movement will remain same at the fundamental level.
