In 2 Months, 100 Farmers commit suicide in Telangana!

Update: 2014-07-30 06:07 GMT
As per the police records, About 101 farmers have committed suicide in Telangana which is India's newest state after it had a worst monsoon deficit in this Kharif season.

Director General of the Indian Meteorological department Lakshman Singh Rathore says the chances of recovery are bleak. The delayed monsoon and lack of sufficient rainfall has been prompting the farmers to take extreme steps. Several Farmers aren't in a position to plant a new crop even if the state receives more rainfall from now as they don't have enough money in hand.

Responding to the criticism on TRS Government, Irrigation Minister Harish Rao blamed the Seemandhra rulers for the situation accusing them of never giving sufficient water to T-farmers.
