In a first, Maoists slam YSRCP's 3-capital proposal

Update: 2022-10-04 17:07 GMT
The outlawed Maoists have for the first ever time come out against the YSRCP's formula of three-capitals. They have recently issued a statement slamming the move to have three capitals. They said that the YSRCP has only indulged in land grab and corruption during the last three years of its rule. This is the first time that the Maoists have spoken against the YSRCP.

The Maoists have said that those in power were resorting to land grab and that they are not even letting go of the tribal lands.  The Maoists have specifically named minister Seediri Appala Raju. They said that an MP and an MLA also were involved in the land grab in the North Andhra region. They specifically mentioned some instances of land grab in Palasa mandal of Srikakulam district.

Maoist leader Ganesh issued a statement where he claimed that the politicians have grabbed Soodi Konda and Nemalikonda in Kasibugga and Palasa. He said that due to this land grab, the water availability in the region was badly affected. The people were suffering from land scarcity. The Maoists also referred to the illegal land encroachment of Rishikonda hillock.

The Maoists' warning is being viewed as significant. This warning has come up at a time when the Opposition TDP-sponsored padayatra of the Amaravati farmers is being undertaken in the North Andhra region.  On Tuesday, there was some clash between the YSRCP and TDP workers over the yatra in Tadepalligudem area.
