In Munugode, everyone is after neutral voters

Update: 2022-10-23 12:52 GMT
With Munugode bypoll promising to be an edge-of-the-seat clincher where the victory margin could be less than 3000, the major parties are pulling all stops. They are marshalling all their resources to ensure that every vote is cast and cast in their favour. Both the BJP and the TRS are working hard to woo the neutral voters, who are emerging as the most crucial factor that could determine the outcome.

Both the TRS and the BJP are preparing the list of neutral voters and are trying to contact them. It is now clear that the neutral voters could swing the game in Munugode. The parties have deployed special teams to reach out to the undecided voters. These batches are meeting them and are trying to explain about the policies and programmes of their respective political parties.

Surveys have revealed that there are more neutral voters in the urban areas than in the rural areas. The number of neutral voters is said to be more in municipal towns such as Choutuppal and Chandur. So, the major political parties have focused on these two municipalities to woo the neutral and undecided voters.

For instance, there are 4867 neutral voters in Choutuppal and 2369 in Chandur. Which way these voters will go is fast emerging as a crucial issue in Munugode. Meanwhile, the punters are having a field day out there in Munugode. They are hedging their bets big time. Interestingly,  more people from neighbouring Andhra Pradesh are hedging their bets compared to those from Telangana.
