The third Test match between India and Australia in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy took a shocking turn with the crowd at the Sydney Cricket Ground reportedly made abusive comments against Indian players.

According to the media reports, the spectators made racial abuse against Indian speedsters Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj on Saturday.

It is said that the player duo reached out to the match officials after the end of day two and lodged a complaint about receiving alleged racist abuse and foul language from the crowd.

However, it is not clear whether a formal complaint was registered by the Indian team or not. More details from the Board of Control for Cricket in India(BCCI) are awaited in this regard.

Looking at the match, Australia is in a comfortable situation with a lead of 197 runs with eight wickets in hand. Day three will start tomorrow at 4: 30 AM.
