CBI on Thursday arrested former Star India CEO Peter Mukherjea in connection with Sheena Bora murder case. The Investigation Agency felt the need to take him into custody for further investigation as some of the answers given by him during the interrogation weren't appropriate.
Actually, CBI has been questioning Peter Mukherjea since the past 3 days. Finally, He was arrested at 7.40 PM Yesterday and would be produced in CBI Special Court Today.
Investigators wish to know whether Peter Mukherjea knew about Sheena Bora's murder, did he destroy any evidence & why he didn't show interest in finding the whereabouts of Sheena Bora after she went missing. The sleuths also questioned why Peter went to UK and Rome at the time when Sheena Bora was murdered. Interestingly, The car (Opel Corsa) used by Indrani to dump Sheena Bora's body was booked by Peter Mukherjea and he contacted a Mumbai's car rental service for it on April 24th, 2012.
CBI also questioned Rahul Mukherjea (Peter Mukherjea's Son from first marriage) who was in a relationship with Sheena Bora.
