'The Golden Mile', which is India's Longest Smart Street, is a collaboration of AP Government and Cisco. The 3-kilometre stretch have everything to ensure the convenience and safety of the citizens.
Smart Services provided at The Golden Mile:
Wi-Fi Hotspots: 36 wi-fi access points to provide high speed internet from AP Fibernet
CCTV Cameras: More than 100 Cameras have been arranged to cover every nook n corner. They are equipped with IP Camera Application Management features to ensure safety and security.
Smart Lights: 240 Smart Lights guarantee an energy-efficient lighting experience. Smart Lights Censors were developed by a local Start-Up.
Parking Censors: 10 Parking Censors have been used for managing traffic congestion
Motion Sensors: Four Motion Sensors were used for detecting Traffic Movement, Traffic Violations and Number Plate Recognition.
Environmental Sensor: This Sensor is being used for testing the air quality.
Bus Stops: All the eight Bus Stops in the stretch are fitted with LED Screens to show Buses Schedule and Routes. Security Cameras have been fitted in the Smart Buses to monitor the movements of the passengers.
All the e-governance services have been integrated to one platform which provides a single page view to the city administrators. 'The Golden Mile' is the pride of AP and it sets a benchmark for the Nation.
