India ranked 97th on Forbes list

In the Forbes annual list of Best Countries for Business in the year 2015, India has been ranked 97th out of total 144 Nations. Especially, The tricolor Nation was rated poor in tackling poverty, corruption, violence, unemployment and other aspects like trade freedom (125th Rank), monetary freedom (139th Rank). It performed slightly better in few areas - Investor Protection (8th Rank), Innovation (41st Rank), Personal Freedom (57th) and Property Rights (61st).

Denmark topped the Forbes list of Best Countries for Business in 2015. While UK and Germany were at 10th &  18th spots, Japan and South Africa stood at 23rd & 47th positions.

US continued downward trend for sixth year in a row. It was ranked as 2nd in 2009 and 22nd in 2015. Last year, US stood at 18th spot in the same category.

China, on the other hand, moved up three spots to occupy 94th position from 97th last year. Sri Lanka and Pakistan stood at 91st and 103rd spots respectively.
