Pandemic Dairies: India Reported 2,000 Fatalities, 10,914 Fresh Infections

The situation in India is turning from bad to worse as more than 2,000 fatalities were reported in India in the past 24 hours, which is the highest surge of single-day casualties so far. The Majority of the fatalities were reported from Maharashtra

Talking about the total cases, 10974 fresh cases were reported taking the toll of the cases to 3,54,065. With a recovery rate of 52.79%, 1,86,935 people recovered from the virus. So far 11,903 people succumbed to the dreaded virus.

Maharashtra, which is the worst-hit state in India has the most number of positive cases and fatalities of the pandemic. The state has 113,445 cases and 5,537 fatalities.

On the other hand, the other worst-hit state Delhi reported 1,859 fresh cases and 93 fatalities in the past 24 hours. With this, the toll of the total cases surpasses the 44,000-mark. The fatality count climbed to 1,837.

Telangana reported 216 fresh cases on Tuesday which take the total toll of the cases to 5406. So far 3027 people recovered from the pandemic and the death toll climbed to 191 with four fresh fatalities.

Andhra Pradesh reported 264 fresh cases on Tuesday taking the toll of the total cases in the state to 6,720. The fatalities rose to 88 with two fresh casualties on Tuesday.
