The positive cases in India are increasing rapidly as 3,543 fresh cases were reported in the country in the past 24 hours. With this, the count of the cases stood at 74,347.
The newly reported 3,543 is the third-highest single-day cases in the country. In the past two days, 3,613 and 4,308 positive cases were reported in the country respectively.
With 74,347 cases, India surpassed Canada in terms of the positive cases and turned out as the 12th worst-hit nation in the world. India is just below China in this list. 122 fatalities were reported in India in the past 24 hours which takes the death toll in the country to 2415.
Maharashtra continues to be the worst-affected state in the country with 24,427 cases. In the past 24 hours, 1,026 fresh cases were reported in the state. On the other hand, 50 fatalities were reported in the last 24 hours, taking the fatalities count in the state to 921.
Tamil Nadu is the second worst-affected state in the country with 8,002 cases followed by Madhya Pradesh(3,785) and Uttar Pradesh with 3,573 cases.
