India Vs Pakistan Match Heat Hits Wikipedia India Officials!

Update: 2022-09-05 12:06 GMT
India-Pakistan is one of the longest sports rivalries in the world. Fans see the cricket match as war and losing the match makes the team face the heat from the fans. The other day India and Pakistan clashed with each other. In the nail-biting match, Pakistan won the match in the last over.

Young Indian player Arshdeep Singh missing an easy catch almost made the difference and India lost the match. Since then, the bowler has been facing severe criticism. Social media is flooded with memes and jokes on Arshdeep Singh's catch miss.

To show the intensity of the match, a few people reportedly edited the Wikipedia space of Arshadeep Singh and linked him to a Khalistani organization. Multiple changes were made to the page. There are a few doubts about the role of people from Pakistan in this.

Now the Union Ministry of Electronics and IT had stepped in and sent a summons for Wikipedia India's executives. Taking serious note of what happened, the Ministry asked them to appear before it in connection with the changes that occurred on the Wikipedia page.

The changes made to the cricketer's Wikipedia page were fixed and the page is locked reportedly. Until further notice, the page would be in a locked stage. Reports say that not having protection might have made the page an easy target.

For the unversed, the Khalistan movement is a separatist movement that has been going on for some time. The movement demands a separate homeland for the Sikh community and the sovereign state would be named Khalistan.
