An Indian man named Abhay Kumar Singh settled down in Russia long back.  He has recently won the Assembly election in Russia and created history.  Abhay hails from Patna, Bihar. He completed his schooling from Loyola High school.  He went to Kursk city in Russia to pursue medicine from Kursk State Medical University in the early 90s.    He returned to Patna after the completion of his medicine but he could not make settle down in his life as he expected.

He went back to Russia and started a pharmaceutical business.  He was successful in his business despite being a non-local and he diversified his businesses to real estate sector later.  He owns Uralskiy Trade Centre in the heart of Kursk city.  He later joined the politics and started participating actively in Putin's United Russia Party.

Now, he became a Deputat(Equivalent to MLA in India) of Kursk city assembly. It is like a fairytale story for a Patna boy-turned businessman to a politician in Russia. He has organised the first International Yoga Day in Kursk on International Yoga Day in 2015 as well.
