Despite being a developing nation, India is home to many talented people across the fields. Looking at the talent and potential Indians have, many leading multinational companies have appointed Indians as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO)s to lead the firms and the decision is proving beneficial.

Leading MNCs like Alphabet Inc, Twitter, Microsoft, Adobe Inc, IBM, FedEx, Barclays, and many others are led by Indian-origin people. To say what the world is thinking about India, the world's second-richest person Jeff Bezos said “I predict that the 21st century is going to be the Indian century”.

Now another Indian-origin joined the list of people who were selected as key members of the leading companies. Laxman Narasimhan has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the American multinational chain of coffeehouses Starbucks.

As there are reports that the superpower nation America is going through an alleged recession, Starbucks is facing the heat and it is unable to compete with its opponents. This made the company look for a suitable candidate and the Pune-based Laxman Narasimhan was appointed.

The new CEO will take charge on the 1st of October. Laxman has had a good record of leading several big companies. Earlier, he worked with PepsiCo, McKinsey & Company, and others.
