Thakur Persaud, an Indian-origin, was shot by few robbers at his home in US while he tried to protect his son from them.
According to the Cops, Thakur Persaud sent his son to see who knocked their door of his house at 197th Street in Queens on Monday. When one of the robbers holding an air gun tried to barge into the house, Mr.Persaud rushed to the door and pushed back him. Then, The Robber shot the Indian in the thigh. Two other Robbers were hiding near the fence of the house when this incident happened. They ran away after the NRI fought back.
Thakur Persaud feels lucky that only he got injured in the attack. 'The bullet is still in the thigh. I have no idea how it would have ended up if they touched my son,' he says.
Despite surveillance camera capturing the robberies, Police haven't arrested the trio so far. They say Mr.Persaud asked the robberies, 'Get a life. Get a job'.
