Shamdai Arjun (55), an Indian-origin Woman living in United States, received 22 years jail sentence for strangulating her 9-Year-Old Stepdaughter to death.

In May this year, Queens Supreme Court Justice Kenneth Holder convicted Shamdai Arjun of second-degree murder.

Acting Queens District Attorney John Ryan stated Crime committed by the Accused is worse than the episodes involving evil step-mothers. He told jail sentence awarded to Shamdai Arjun will ensure she doesn't get freedom again.

As per the eye-witness, Shamdai Arjun left her apartment on August 19th, 2016 along with her Former Boyfriend, her grandchildren aged 5 and 3. When asked about her Step-Daughter, She told the 9-Year-Old was in the bathroom and her father will pick her up. As the bathroom light continued to be on for many hours, I called the Girl's Father and he asked Me to check what has happened. Found the naked body of the girl with bruises in the bathtub.
