The total infections of the ongoing pandemic in India inching towards 12 lakh-mark, with India adding 37,724 fresh cases of the virus in the past 24 hours. Total cases in India mounted to 11,92,915.
As per the information provided by the Union Health Ministry, India reported 648 casualties in the past 24 hours, and the total fatalities in connection with the disease mounted to 28,732.
Giving hope of recovery from the virus, a whopping 28,472 patients managed to recover from the contagious in the last 24 hours, which takes the toll of the total recoveries in the country to 7,53,049. The active cases stood at 4,11,133.
The only good thing about the prevailing situation is that the recovery rate and gap between the active cases and received cases is increasing day by day. As of now, the gap between active cases and recovered cases rose to 3,41,916.
Talking about the samples tested for the contagious disease, the Indian Council of Medical Research(ICMR) said on Tuesday alone as many as 3,43,243 samples were tested and as of July 21st, a mammoth 1,47,24,546 samples have been tested.
Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, and national capital Delhi continue to the worst-affected states in the country with the outbreak of the virus. These states account for around two-thirds of the total cases in the country.
Globally, the total cases rose to 14.9 million, while 609,198 people lost their lives to the contagious disease across the countries. So far, 8.43 million people managed to recover from the virus, as per the data collected by the famous Johns Hopkins University (JHU).
