Is AP Governor Not Happy with the alleged Job Scam in Raj Bhavan?

Looks like Andhra Pradesh will continue to hit the headlines. A few days back with the scarcity of sand and the suicides of construction workers have made the headlines.

It has been reported that Andhra Pradesh Governor Biswa Bhusan Harichandran has ordered Police Commissioner Ch.Dwaraka Tirumala Rao to look into the alleged job scam at Raj Bhavan and make sure the culprits are brought before the law.

According to the close sources, some people in M/s. Sumati Corporate Services Private Limited, supplier of the temporary staff to Raj Bhavan has reportedly taken money from the temporary staff. The Governor appointed a committee, headed by the Secretary to Governor, M.K. Meena to look into this.

Reportedly, almost 50,000 to 1 lakh was collected from attenders, office subordinates, and other staff.

The Secretary to Governor has begun the process to cancel the contract of the agency. The same agency has also provided outstanding staff to the Protocol Department at the Secretariat. Police are investigating whether the agency has taken any money from the candidates or not.

'Some supervisory staff members had collected money from nine outsourcing employees at Raj Bhavan. We are trying to find out if any permanent employees or officials were involved in the job scam,' an officer said.
