Is the BJP planning a master stroke ahead of the Greater Warangal Municipal Corporaton (GWMC) elections? Is it trying to wean away a senior TRS leader and is luring him into the BJP? If insiders are to be believed, the BJP is planning big time to shock the TRS.
The leader in question is none other than former deputy chief minister and senior Dalit politician in Telangana Kadiyam Srihari. Of late, Kadiyam is deeply unhappy with the TRS. He is now out of ministry and indications are that he may not be given a ministerial berth anytime in future. His term as an MLC too is coming to an end and it is likely that he may not be re-nominated. Also, Kadiyam's repeated attempts to launch his daughter in to politics have not been successful. He tried hard to get her a party ticket in 2018 elections, but KCR refused to make her a candidate.
Sources say that BJP state president Bandi Sajay himself is trying to woo Kadiyam Srihari. Sanjay is said to be in talks with Kadiyam Srihari. Will disgruntled Kadiyam take the bait and fall for the BJP hook line and sinker or will the TRS leadership placate him. Let's wait and see how things shape up?
