Is Chandrababu Walking into sunset?

Update: 2021-03-23 03:07 GMT
Is Chandrababu Naidu, who rode like a colossus and dominated Telugu politics for over four decades, walking into the sunset? Is his illustrious political career coming to an end? Well. It appears so especially after the severe drubbing his party got in the municipal elections.

Chandrababu began his career from Chandragiri as an MLA. He emerged as the second-in-command to NTR. His finest hour in politics was when he back-stabbed his father-in-law NTR and became the CM. The nine-year-period made him a national figure with the likes of Bill Clinton and Bill Gates hobnobbing with him. Though he had lost to YSR in 2004, he managed to bounce back after ten years and became a CM in 2014. But, things began changing after YS Jagan won the 2019 elections. Ever since, Chandrababu's graph is on a free fall. The recent panchayat and municipal elections have sounded death-knell to the TDP. The party lost badly and there are signs that several of his trusted aides might desert him in the future.

With a dud like Lokesh as second-in-command, there aren't many hopes for the TDP in the coming days. Though active, the age factor seems to be getting better of Chandrababu these days. Also, absentee leadership of Chandrababu, who is majorly operating from Hyderabad, is also affecting the party's morale. Given this, there doesn't seem to be much of a future for the TDP chief.  Will Tirupati Lok Sabha bypoll be the last straw on the camel's back?
