Is Telagnana CM and TRS chief KCR going the way of Chandrababu Naidu? Like Chandrababu Naidu, KCR is going round the country looking to bring anti-Modi leaders of all parties under one umbrella. He has visited several states like Chandrababu Naidu did ahead of the 2019 elections. There is an eerie similarity and one wonders if KCR too will meet the fate of Chandrababu?
Ahead of the 2019 elections, Chandrababu went to all states like West Bengal and held discussions with the leaders of various regional parties. He strongly advocated the formation of an anti-BJP front and campaigned vigorously. He had reportedly even funded a political party in two state assembly elections. It is another matter that the BJP had won in both the states.
Chandrasekhar Rao's moves too are very similar to those of Chandrababu. He has gone to several states like Odisha, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Maharashtra and Bihar. He has talked about a non-BJP front. Like Chandrababu, even KCR has begun appealing to the state governments to withdraw permissions to the CBI investigation in their respective states.
Interestingly, Chandrababu did the same and even withdrew police support to the CBI investigations in Andhra Pradesh. He strongly opposed the CBI raids and said that the Centre was using the CBI to further its political objectives. It is another matter that the very same Chandrababu Naidu wanted CBI probes in Andhra Pradesh soon after he lost power.

At least nine states, including West Bengal,Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Punjab and Meghalaya, have withdrawn support to the CBI probe in their respective states. Going by KCR's statement, both Telangana and Bihar too might withdraw their support. While it is not known which turn anti-BJP politics take in future, but KCR is exactly doing what Chandrababu did.
