The political circles in Telangana are agog with rumours of KTR being angry and upset. Though he is tweeting developmental programmes through his Twitter handle, he is said to be keeping aloof from party programmes of late. Ever since chief minister KCR announced that he would continue to remain in power for another ten years and that anyone talking about a regime change would be firmly dealt with.
One interesting pointer to KTR's mood is that he has not even congratulated the newly-elected Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi and deputy Mayor Srilatha Reddy. He has not even tweeted a congratulatory message to the newly formed team. Interestingly, neither Vijayalakshmi nor Srilatha even made an attempt to call on KTR and thank him for his support. This is unusual since KTR had effusively praised and congratulated Bonthu Rammoahan, when he was chosen as mayor of the GHMC. There is another strong buzz that KTR was not happy with the choice of the Mayor and the deputy mayor.
In fact, KTR was the campaigner-in-chief for the party during the GHMC elections. He has joined road shows of almost every candidate. He was also instrumental in choosing the candidates. But, soon after the polls were over, he got busy with the work in other parts of the state. But, he has completely fallen silent ever since KCR has dispelled rumours of a CM change.
