Is Manda Krishna Madiga helping TRS in Nagarjunasagar?

Is Madiga reservation activist Manda Krishna Madiga trying to help the ruling TRS in Nagarjunasagar? Several political analysts feel that candidate put up by Mahajan Socialist Party (MSP) is meant to divide the anti-TRS votes.

Though Manda Krishna Madiga is outwardly opposing the TRS and is asking the Dalits not to vote for the TRS, he is actually helping the TRS, they argue. There are about 37000 SC voters in Nagarjunasagar assembly constituency and they can tilt the scales in favour or against any candidate.  In the two elections in Nagarjunasagar, the victory margin is considerable. In 2014, Jana Reddy defeated Nomula Narsimhaiah (TRS) 16000 votes. In 2019, Nomula defeated Jana by 8000 votes. This time, the victory margin would be much smaller, say analysts. Given this situation,  the MSP might divide the Dalit votes, affecting the Congress prospects. The Dalits are traditional Congress supporters.

Even if MSP manages to wean away five thousand votes, it would make a dent in the Congress Party. In the last elections, the MSP got around 4000 votes. So, many feel that Manda Krishna Madiga is actually helping the TRS.
