The recent meeting between noted poll strategist Prashant Kishor and Nationalist Congress Party(NCP) chief Sharad Pawar gave rise to the debate over Mission 2024 for a credible alternative for Narendra Modi.
The duo met at Sharad Pawar's residence in Maharashtra and the meeting had lasted for around four hours. Despite no statement on this from Prashant Kishor, media reports are abuzz that plans are underway for an alternative in national politics.
Prashant Kishore is saying that the strategist is meeting the leaders who have extended their support for Mamata Banerjee and MK Stalin in West Bengal and Tamil Nadu general elections respectively.
Narendra Modi's image in India has started to see a downfall since the emergence of the second wave of Covid. The Covid impact had created a space for an alternative. Reportedly, PK is preparing a roadmap to project a credible leader to take on Narendra Modi in the 2024 elections.
To gather support from all the concerns, Prashant Kishor is likely to meet the Chief Ministers of non-BJP ruled states as his Mission 2024. As part of this, he is expected to meet Telangana Chief Minister KCR as well.
KCR is reportedly not happy with the BJP party for inviting Etela Rajender into the party, who was stripped off the cabinet post after the land-grabbing allegations. Seeing this, the strategist might meet him and seek his support for Mission 2024.
To see that BJP won't spread its wings in Telangana, KCR and Prashant Kishor might join hands to tackle the common rival, the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
