Is this the Reason why Ex Ministers Skipped Oath Ceremony?

The wait for the Cabinet 2.0 in Andhra Pradesh is finally over as the new Cabinet Ministers took oath today. Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy graced the oath-taking ceremony as a special guest, while Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan administered the oath ceremony.

After taking oath as the Cabinet Ministers, a few Ministers expressed their gratitude by touching the feet and bowing down before Jagan, while Roja kissed Jagan's hand. The reason for this is that she has the long dream of taking up the Cabinet post, which was fulfilled at last today.

More than the oath-taking ceremony, the absence of a few former Ministers is making noise as various reports on the reasons behind the same as doing rounds. Not just one but as many as five Legislators, who served as the Ministers in the previous Cabinet skipped the ceremony.

The likes of Balineni Srinivasa Reddy, Mekathoti Sucharita, Anil Kumar Yadav, Alla Nani, and Cherukuvada Sri Ranganatha Raju did not attend the ceremony and this gave birth to many opinions and reports.

When reports emerged that a few Ministers would be retained in the new cabinet, the Ministers pinned high hopes on getting a retain call. While the senior leaders felt that their seniority would help them, the young leaders banked on the work they did for their respective portfolios.

However, a few legislators were not retained in the new Cabinet and they could not bear the news. Unhappy with the government not picking them for the new Cabinet, the five legislators have reportedly stayed out of the oath-taking ceremony.
