Is This Why This Ex-MP Is In Delhi?

Update: 2019-07-23 05:05 GMT
Former MP G Vivek is all set to join the BJP on Tuesday. Vinod, who is estranged from the TRS after it denied him and his brother Vinod in the last elections, has secured an appointment with party chief Amit Shah. He will meet Shah on Tuesday morning and will publicly announce his decision to join the BJP.

Vivek's political career is at a crossroads ever since KCR began ignoring him . Originally a Congressman, Vivek joined the TRS ahead of the 2014 elections. But, he was denied a ticket to contest from Peddapalli Lok Sabha elections in 2014 elections. So, he defected to the Congress and fought the elections. But, he was defeated by Balka Suman of the TRS. Later, he rejoined the TRS but the party continued to ignore him. In the 2018 assembly elections, his brother Vinod was denied a ticket and he contested as a BSP candidate. He lost the elections. Since then, both Vinod and Vivek are in political wilderness.

Of late, Vivek has moved towards  the BJP and met several leaders from the party. He has also met Rammadhav to discuss the modalities of his joining the BJP. On Tuesday, he will meet Amit Shah and formally announce his joining of the BJP.
