National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) lauded the attempt made by ISRO to place Chandrayaan 2's Vikram lander on the Moon's south pole.
The US Space Agency didn't mind admitting that remarkable journey of Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) with Chandrayaan 2 has inspired it. NASA even claimed to be looking forward to work with ISRO for exploring the Solar System. 'Space is hard. We commend Isro's attempt to land their #Chandrayaan 2 mission on the Moon. You have inspired us with your journey and look forward to future opportunities to explore our solar system together,' told NASA.
ISRO maintained Chandrayaan 2 Mission was a highly complex mission and its a significant technological leap when compared to the previous Moon missions. On September 2nd, The Vikram lander got separated from Chandrayaan 2 orbiter and that's a major achievement. The Space Agency lost contact with Vikram lander just before the landing on the South Pole of the Moon, at a distance of 2.1 km from the lunar surface. Chandrayaan 2 orbiter will be sending pictures of the Moon for the next one year.
