ISRO's World Record: 104 Satellites launched at once!

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) created world record by launching as many as 104 Satellites into the orbit in a single mission.

Until now, Russia holds the record for launching maximum number of satellites at one go. Russian Space Agency launched 37 Satellites into the orbit at once.

PSLV-C37 has been successfully launched Today at 9.30 AM. About 101 out of 104 Satellites were that of International Clients. While 96 Satellites were from USA, UAE, Switzerland, Netherlands, Israel and Kazakhstan sponsored one each. The total weight of 104 Satellites stood at 1,378 kg.

Initially, A 714 kg CARTOSAT-2 Series Satellite was launched by PSLV. Then 103 co-passenger Satellites, combinedly weighing 664 kg, were injected.

In June 2015, ISRO launched 23 Satellites. Today's mission is second successful attempt and a proud moment for every Indian.
