IT Minister KTR unveils Bronze Statue of Colonel Santosh Babu in Suryapet
TRS working President, Telangana IT Minister Kalvakuntla Taraka Rama Rao visited Suryapet earlier today to unveil the bronze statue of Colonel Santosh Babu, who sacrificed his life in the violent faceoff with the Chinese troops at the Galwan conflict. The Minister unveiled the statue along with Santosh Babuâs family members.
Along with KTR, the Minister of State for Energy of Telangana Guntakandla Jagadish Reddy was also present at the ceremony. Speaking on the occasion, KTR said, the country would never forget the sacrifice made by Santosh Babu.
The bronze statue of Colonel Santosh Babu was set up in Suryapet after the authorities received the instructions from the Chief Minister. It has to be noted that, last year KCR met the kin of Colonel and offered financial assistance of Rs 5 crore.
Besides the assistance, the Telangana government had appointed Santosh Babuâs wife as the Deputy Collector and the family was also given a piece of land in Banjara Hills.
