Indian Skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni was against the ODI rule of only four fielders outside the 30-yard circle in the last 10 years. Even during the recent World Cup, He expressed the views that ODI shouldn't be made like T20 and warned 3 double hundreds in 3 years is a dangerous trend. Hence, The recent changes to ODI rules is nothing but a victory of Captain Cool.

As per the new rules, Close Catchers aren't allowed in the first 5 Overs, Every No-Ball becomes a free hit, Batting Powerplay has been scrapped and five fielders can been placed outside 30-yard circle in the last 10 overs.

1) Over 350 run were scored in 11% of the total matches played.

2) 400 run mark was touched in 2.44% of the total matches played.

3) India score 350-plus runs in 51 matches and 400-plus runs in 4 matches.
