It's Padayatra time in Telangana, 5 padayatras are now on

Update: 2022-03-15 05:16 GMT
The political heat has gone up in Telangana and its now padayatra time in the state. All major political parties have begun taking out long padayatras to reach out to the voters. The politicians feel that long padayatras are the shortest route to political power.

Former IPS officer and BSP chief RS Praveen Kumar has launched a 300-day padayatra. The yatra began on March 6 from Khilashapur in Janagama district. He is planning to cover 5000 villages during the padayatra.  Meanwhile, YSRTP chief YS Sharmila too launched her padayatra on March 11. The yatra began from Kondapakagudem village in Narketpalli mandal and Sharmila is addressing  at least one public meeting per constituency.

The Congress too is not lagging behind.  CLP leader Bhatti Vikramarka has begun a People's March on February 27. The yatra began from Yadavalli village in Mudigonda mandal on February 27.  He would be covering 500 km in 32 days. Though he has given a temporary rest to the yatra due to the budget session of the assembly, he is planning to re-start the yatra.

The BJP too is back with its Praja Sangrama Yatra. The second phase of BJP chief Bandi Sanjay's yatra would begin from April 14. The Yatra would highlight the failures of the state government and the unbridled corruption in the state.  Buoyed up with its huge success in Punjab, the AAP too is planning to launch a padayatra in Telangana. Thus, the padayatras have become the toast of the season now in Telangana.
