Its State Decision To Decide Capital: Nityanand Rai

Update: 2020-02-04 09:17 GMT
Answering to an unstarred question raised in the Lok Sabha by the TDP MP Galla Jayadev, Minister of State for Home Affairs in the Government of India Niryanand Rai gave a quite interesting answer.

In his question, Galla asked the Centre on whether they are aware of the point that AP CM Jagan has opted to have three capitals and if they know what is the action taken by them on this row as the farmers who have given thousands of acres of land for the capital, Amaravati.

Responding to this, Niryanand said that, the state government notified a G.O on the capital row and having Three Capitals. He went on to say that its the decision of the state to decide its capital within its territory.

This answer has gained interest among the political circles and raised a doubt on the credibility of the BJP AP MP's statements that capital will be in Amaravati and the Centre will respond on this t the right time.

Not only the BJP MPs even Pawan Kalyan said that he will make sure to see that the capital will stay in Amaravati and no one can shift the capital from there, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi has laid the foundation stone for the capital.
