In the newly released ICC Test Rankings, Spinner Ravichandran Ashwin was ranked as No.1 in the list of Test All-Rounder to dethrone Bangladesh's Shakib Al Hasan. He claimed 31 wickets and also scored a half-century in the four Tests series against South Africa. However, South Africa's Dale Steyn still tops the table in Test Bowling chart but the margin between him and Ashwin has been reduced from 15 to 4 points.
Ajinkya Rahane is India's best in Test Batting category. After two centuries (127, 100) in the fourth Test Match, He moved from 26th spot to 12th.
Even Indian skipper Virat Kohli gained to place to settle at 14th. Murali Vijay and Pujara were at 16th and 17th spots respectively.
