Jagan Blasts Election Commissioner And Decision To Postpone Elections

Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan did not like the decision of Election Commission to postpone local body elections in the state by 6 weeks. He opined that Corona Virus is not a deadly disease to stop democratic process of elections.

He alleged that Election Commissioner Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar is acting on the orders of TDP supremo, Nara Chandra Babu Naidu. He said that General Secretary did not have any idea that Elections are being postponed until the press release.

He further alleged that Ramesh Kumar is trying to listen to NCBN because he belongs to his same community and hence, he and his party has no faith in him.

He fired on the Commissioner stating that using Election code as an excuse, Ramesh Kumar transferred collectors and SPs from Chittoor and Guntur districts. He said that Ramesh Kumar failed to live up to the expectations of his party members, party cadre by being unbiased.

He also maintained that Ramesh has been stopping Government from caring on with welfare schemes and wondered if CM elected by people should have more powers or an election commission officer.

He said that he wants answers from Election Commission for all the actions committed by Commissioner in the state in near future. He expressed grave displeasure saying that even after winning 151 MLAs and becoming CM, these kind of biased people are trying to rob his right to rule with malicious intentions.
