YS Jaganmohan Reddy remained firm on his stand for Special Category Status. Neither Special Package nor Tall Claims made by centre has diverted his attention as he is of the feeling that AP can't survive with it. He didn't hesitate to make his MPs resign though General Elections are scheduled to happen only next year.
On Thursday, Opposition Leader issued a sensational challenge to the Ruling Party. He asked TDP to take part in the movement launched by YCP for Special Status. 'Why wouldn't Centre accord Special Status if 25 MPs submit their resignations? Every YCP Member will stage dharna at all the collectorates on March 1st. On March 3rd, Party MLAs, MPs and Senior Leader reach padayatra location. MPs will fight for Special Status during the Parliament Session resuming from March 5th. If Centre doesn't accord Special Status by April 6th (last day of sessions), MPs would submit their resignations. If TDP MPs too submit their resignations, Centre will realize the seriousness of the situation,' he opined.
Yuva Neta reiterated People are vexed with the false promises of Chandrababu Naidu and corruption in TDP rule. He promised Rs 2,000 monthly pension for senior citizens after forming the Government. 'We would surely implement Navarathnalu. Will reduce pension age for SC, ST and BCs to 45 Years. Liquor Prohibition would be implemented in three phases. All the promises in the YCP Manifesto would be implemented without fail,' he assures.
