Jagan - First AP CM To Get Into Father's Shoes!

Update: 2019-05-30 07:00 GMT
Andhra Pradesh State was created in the year 1956. Never been before in the history of AP, Both Father and Son served as the Chief Minister. This is happening for the first time with YS Jaganmohan Reddy's swearing-in as the 17th Chief Minister of AP.

Several Father-Son duo served as CMs in the Northern States but such phenomenon is very rare down South. For the first time ever, Such a development took place in Karnataka. While Deve Gowda served as CM from 1994 to 1996, His Son HD Kumaraswamy became CM twice.

And now, YS Rajasekhar Reddy and YS Jaganmohan Reddy created history. While YSR was the CM of United AP from 2004 to 2009, Jagan will be serving as CM of residuary AP from 2019 to 2024.

Until 2009, YS Jaganmohan Reddy wasn't active in politics. He was elected as Kadapa MP in that election. After the sudden demise of YSR, Jagan differed with Congress High Command over Odarpu Yatra and floated YSR Congress. He even resigned to the Lok Sabha Seat and contested in the by-election on behalf of YCP. Jagan missed the opportunity to emerge victorious in 2014 Elections by a slight margin. He, however, hasn't let that happen in 2019 inspite of several hurdles. Today, Jagan sworn-in as the CM of AP. He is doing it after spending 16 months in the prison...it shows people are with Yuva Neta.
