Jagan Government Flays Former IB Chief Venkateswara Rao Once Again!

Senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officer and former intelligence chief AB Venkateswara Rao, who is facing allegations of irregularities in the purchase of security equipment is all set to face one more brutal shock.

According to the media reports, the Andhra Pradesh government led by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has reportedly decided to extend his suspension for a few more months.

It has been widely reported that the Andhra Pradesh government has extended the suspension of AB Venkateswara Rao for six more months. Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary Aditya Nath Das has also issued orders in this regard reportedly.

This is not the first time, the Andhra Pradesh government has extended the orders of the senior IPS officer. Earlier too, the government extended the suspension of Director-General of Police rank officer for six months.

The YSRCP party which has been alleging that the senior IPS officer was reportedly involved in irregularities while procuring security equipment when he was Intelligence chief in the regime of the previous TDP government.

After the YSRCP government came to the power, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has suspended the senior IPS officer.

The senior IPS officer was suspended under the rule of 3 (1) of the All India Services (Discipline and Appeal) Rules, 1969 on the grounds of misconduct in procuring security equipment while he was working as Additional DGP (Intelligence).
