Jagan Obtains Exemption From Court Appearance

Update: 2019-06-08 09:29 GMT
YS Jaganmohan Reddy has been appearing before the CBI Court on every Friday to face trail of disproportionate assets case. Even while conducting Praja Sankalpa Yatra, Weekly visits to the court continued as the exemption sought by the YCP Supremo was denied.

After YCP formed the Government, Rajya Sabha MP Vijay Sai Reddy moved two petitions seeking exemption for Jagan and himself from attending the CBI Court in Nampally. While CM Post was shown as an excuse for Jagan, Responsibility of meeting Party MLAs as General Secretary was cited as the reason for Vijay Sai Reddy. Principal Special Judge BR Madhusudan Rao offered exemption to No.1 and No.2 of YCP considering the crucial posts they have been holding at present.

11 Chargesheets were filed by the CBI in connection with YS Jaganmohan Reddy's DA Case. Apart from Jagan and Vijay Sai Reddy, Exemption was offered to few Politicians, Industrialists and IAS Officials against whom charges were booked. This favourable decision from the court is a huge relief for most of the accused.
