Amid all the good news that the YSRCP is getting from all quarters, here is a disconcerting input. Surveys show that at least 15 of its sitting MLAs are facing rough weather in their constituencies. Some of those who have won in 2014 are facing tough times.
YSRCP sources say that one of the main reasons for their unpopularity is Chandrababu's machinations. Chndrababu has completely stopped sanctioning of funds for these constituencies. He pressurised them to come to the TDP failing which he would stop funds to their constituencies. Over and above, he has resorted to misuse of power to create an uncomfortable situation for the MLA.
It remains to be seen as to how YS Jagan will tackle this situation. It is believed that Jagan will confirm tickets to each of these candidates as they withstood all the temptations and stayed with the YSRCP. He is planning to put all his energies to ensure the victory of these MLAs.
