Inscrutable YS Jagan has finally spoken about the cabinet reshuffle in Andhra Pradesh. Addressing the state cabinet, he said that soon he would undertake the rejig of the cabinet.
He said that he would retain some ministers, while he would replace some. This set of a flurry of speculations as to who would be the lucky ones to remain ministers and the unlucky ones that would be shown the door.
Jagan told the cabinet that those who would be asked to step down would be given party posts and added that they would have to work to strengthen the party.
From his comments, it is clear that he has already fixed a date for the cabinet rejig. It is also clear that he already has a list of who will remain and who will resign. But true to his style, he has not revealed his mind.
The biggest challenge for the YSRCP leaders likes in the utter secrecy that YS Jagan Mohan Reddy maintaines. Nobody actually knows who is in and who is out.
But, some estimate that Jagan will have a team of young ministers while the seniors would be given the party jobs. Sources say his plan is much similar to the one that PM Modi is implementing in the BJP at the national level.
Sources say that the cabinet would be reshuffled soon after the budget session as Jagan does not want the session to suffer due to the inexperience of the new minister. Interestingly, Jagan did not meet any minister personally. As a result, there is no leakage of information from either the party or the government.
