While some TDP diehards might be gloating over the low ratings that YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and his government had got in the recent India Today ratings, YSR's best friend and senior Congress leader KVP Ramachandra Rao doesn't seem to think so. He feels that YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is invincible even now despite the low ratings given by the media house.
He feels that these ratings do not reflect the mood of the people in the state. He said the state is still solidly behind YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. Terming him a mature and a hard-working leader, KVP said that the YS Jagan Mohan Reddy government would get the same amount of votes and seats even if elections were held now. He said that Jagan's connection with the voters remains strong. He said the Praja Sankalpa Yatra has turned him into a mass leader. "He is more mature and more hardworking," said KVP in an interview to a media house.
KVP, however, said that he had not met YS Jagan in many years. He said he has no connection with Jagan's politics either. However, he said that his relations with YS Rajasekhara Reddy's family remain as they used to be during the YSR. He also admitted that he never advises YS jagan on political matters and that Jagan too never seeks his advice. Referring to the negative sentiment for YS Jagan, he said even late YSR faced a similar kind of situation before 2003. He said the 2003 Padayatra has changed it all. He said that YSRCP was a changed man after the padayatra.
KVP, however, has a sugession for YS Jagan. He said that YSR had a close team of confidants, who advised him on all major issues. He had a team like Rosaiah, Kiran Kumar Reddy and others for seeking opinions. Jagan too should develop a team like that and consult them while making a decision. He said he was confident that Jagan would become a successful politician in the days to come too.
