Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt who is undergoing imprisonment in connection with 1993 Mumbai Serial Blasts has submitted an application to Yerwada jail authorities seeking for a 30-day parole to avail for medical treatment.
Jail Manual provides the facility of taking a leave for the convicted prisoners to remain in touch with society and the authorities will take a final call on such applications after examining the conduct of the prisoners who have moved such application.
Sanjay Dutt moved the application 20-days ago and the jail authorities have forwarded it to the divisional commissioner who will now take a decision after consulting with the police station concerned.
Legal experts say, Sanjay Dutt might be granted a 14-day parole as his behaviour in prison is so far very good.
