Gautam Gambhir's Community Kitchen To Provide Food For Rs 1 For Needy

Cricketer-turned-politician and Bharatiya Janata Party Lok Sabha member will inaugurate the Jan Rasoi' canteens. These canteens aim at serving lunch to the needy at a minimal price of Rs 1.

The Jan Rasoi canteens will be set up in East Delhi, Gautam Gambhir's Parliamentary constituency. The first canteen will be launched in Gandhi Nagar on Thursday, while the second canteen will be launched in Ashok Nagar on January 26.

It is beloved that, the Jan Rasoi canteen can accommodate 100 people at a time. But due to the Covid-19 situation, only 50 members will be allowed in the community kitchens.

The lunch provided by the community kitchens comes with rice, lentils, and vegetable curries.

Talking about the new project, the World Cup-winning player said, it's the right of every person to have healthy and hygienic food. He quoted the example of migrant workers who faced a lot of difficulties in getting food due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
