A section of media reported that Jana Reddy has blamed chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy and DGP V Dinesh Reddy saying they are responsible for the agitations in the Seemandhra region against the division of state.
However, Jana denied making any such comments and opined media has misquoted his words. "I never said CM and DGP have been instigating protests in the Andhra and Rayalseema. What I meant was they have the power to investigate and take necessary action against the people responsible to bring the situation back to normalcy. I am in good terms with the chief minister," he clarified.
Jana Reddy said local body polls including Zilla Parishad and Mandal Parishad has nothing to do with the bifurcation and they would be conducted as per the schedule. The senior leader claimed he is unsure whether the polls will be conducted in United AP or after the division into two states.
