The poor and middle class faced all sorts of troubles since demonetization scheme was launched by Union Government. Especially, Patients and their families were in a dire state as even Hospitals refused to accept the old currency with higher denominations.

On humanitarian grounds, Jana Sena Activists opened a counter at the Emergency Ward of Nizam Institute of Medical Science (NIMS) in Hyderadad to provide a facility of exchange of defunct Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes with Rs 100.

Of course, This service is only for the patients. People need to furnish the necessary medical prescriptions or bills to get benefitted.

Soon after the news spread like wild fire, Several patients and their family members rushed to the Jana Sena Counter. This eventually ended the exchange process within an hour or so because of the heavy rush. At least, Few poor people might have got benefitted from the kind gesture.
