Jana Sena Eyeing 10 LS Seats In Telangana

Update: 2019-02-12 04:53 GMT
Jana Sena Party refrained from contesting in the Telangana Assembly Polls 2018. Pawan Kalyan defended that move by saying there wasn't enough time for the party to prepare for Early Polls. At one stage Pawan has seriously considered contesting or extending support to organisations/individuals from weaker sections, but Party Seniors advised him not to take any such risk because poor show could affect the poll prospects in AP as well. The Actor-turned-Politician needn't have to worry much about negative result now as Lok Sabha Polls and AP Assembly Polls could happen simultaneously.

As per sources, Jana Sena Leadership is looking forward to field candidates in as many as 8 to 10 Lok Sabha Constituencies in Telangana. Pawan Kalyan has already appointed Parliamentary Committees for seven Lok Sabha Segments (Secunderabad, Malkajgiri, Khammam, Nalgonda, Medak, Bhongir and Warangal). Within the next few days, Committees will be announced for 2 to 3 more Lok Sabha Constituencies.

Analysts say, Chances of Jana Sena winning even a single MP Seat in Telangana looks bleak. Still, Pawan Kalyan wishes to give it a try by offering opportunity to contest elections for those who remained loyal to him since several years. This is mostly an exercise meant to test the real strength of Jana Sena in Telangana with vote share.
